SC sketch challenge

Emily Pitts' "To the nines" layout was one of my favorites in the Mind the gap DT gallery at Studio Calico. This week the sunday sketch was made from her layout. This is it:

Amazing, right? I find that I'm most happy with the result when I look at the sketch before I start working, and then put it away. It's easier to get more of "me" into it, and not follow the sketch too closely. This is my layout:

Materials: SC Mind the gap - kit, SC veneer stars and Lemonade Mister Huey's for the background, an old OA sticker, some ancient Just the edge and Sew Easy thread.

I wasn't sure about those thickers when the kit first arrived, but after using them in this layout I totally changed my mind about them.
