Washi tape

This washi tape is awesome! I love the graphic pattern and the bright colors. When I saw this photo of my daughter I knew it belonged with this tape. I worked with a washi tape take-over challenge from Bright Ideas where the challenge is to not use any patterned paper. Only washi tape and embellies.

The texture challenge

For the Bright Ideas texture challenge I decided to make a card set using the class printables. Here's a photo of the entire set. If you want to see the individual cards close up go to my gallery at Studio Calico.

I've also used several happy mail contents on these cards. The leaf diecut (my last - boohoo!) is from Caz, the blue ribbon is from Rosalie and the glitter tape is from Danielle. Thank you!!!

For the Bright Ideas string art challenge I decided to make a card. I thought I'd used up all the large chipboard hearts and was really happy when I found this one at the bottom of my drawer that I keep the most recent SC kit in.

Another Bright Ideas challenge. This time it's being inspired by ads. And hey, I didn't use a kraft base this time!

I'm loving these colored tags that SC have in the shop now. I have even more colors and sizes coming my way right now!

Bright ideas

This month's Studio Calico class is fantastic. So much inspiration both from the contributing teachers and the students themselves. These are the first 4 challenges from me:

1: Using a stencil

2: Stitched title

3: Using a map related item

4: Polka dots

And maybe for challenge number 5 I'll use something else for a background than kraft. Maybe.
